Integration

Integrating multiple systems simplifies their use. By providing a means for these systems to talk to each other they become smart.

For example when you leave home and arm the security system in the Away Mode, the security system will report the fact that you are leaving to your control system, which in turn will tell the lighting system to turn the lights off, the music system to turn the music off and the thermostats to adjust for energy savings.

We program other modes as well such as a Bedtime Mode and an Entertainment Mode to trigger the systems in your home to adjust just the way that you like them. Lighting in halls and stairways become "Pathways". The Master Suite Pathway will illuminate all lights necessary to guide you from the foyer to your bedroom where the same button will turn all the lights off again. These systems are smart too. If you hit the Entertainment Mode in the middle of the day, the system will not turn on lights you don't need during the day, until it gets dark. Then, as the sun sets, lighting automatically adjusts into your evening Entertainment Mode.

A major benefit to integrating systems is the fact that the user interface, such as a keypad, remote control, touch screen, telephone or your computer, can be used to control multiple subsystems. We program these systems to function together based on scenes. Scenes revolve around how you will be using the space and how you want any numbers of lights, or other systems to adapt for your use. Many aspects of scenes can be changed easily right from the keypad, so if you decide the wall sconces are too bright, just dim them. Then press and hold the scene button and the system remembers your changes the next time you select that scene.

Additionally, If the fire alarm goes off in the dark of night, the lights in hallways and pathways will come on automatically to help you and your family exit the house safely. If the burglar alarm goes off lights can turn on and the porch light can even flash to scare off the intruder and help emergency personnel find your house faster. These are just a few examples of how integrating multiple systems within your home provides peace of mind.

Imagine you're on the way home from a weekend trip, you call home from your cell phone, and trigger your Welcome Home scene. You can easily put your home in a mode that adjusts the thermostats and lighting to welcome you home, perhaps even put on a little music. Now that's real comfort!
